The right plan changes everything.
Find out where yours starts.
Running a service-based business is really about building relationships. With your clients, with the people who refer you and with the audience that needs to find you. But when your communications don’t have a real plan behind them, those relationships are harder to build and easier to lose than they should be.
Does any of this sound like you right now?
Maybe you have ideas, good ones, but getting them out of your head and into something you can actually send or publish feels like a project you never quite start.
Maybe you show up for a few weeks and then go quiet. Not because you don’t care, but because life got busy and the momentum faded.
Maybe you’ve been meaning to get your internal processes out of your head and into something your team or contractors can actually follow, but it keeps getting pushed to the back of the list.
Maybe your work is good, and your clients are happy, but the way you communicate with them during and after an engagement doesn’t quite match the standard you hold for everything else.
Or maybe you started your business to do the work you love, and figuring out how to communicate what you do was supposed to be the easy part.
The problem is rarely what you think it is. It’s not your ideas. It’s not your writing. What’s missing is a clear picture of where the gaps are across your whole communications picture. That’s exactly what the Scorecard shows you.
Here’s where we start
Every service-based business is built on relationships, and every relationship in your business lives inside one of these five communication areas. The question is which one needs your attention first.
Five Domains
Your Communication Process: The foundation that makes every other area possible.
Your Client Experience: What it actually feels like to work with you, from yes to done and beyond.
Staying Connected: The relationships that grow and compound when you have a rhythm to maintain them.
How You Work: The internal systems that let your business run without you holding them up.
Your Ideas In Action: Getting what you know, think and offer out into the world consistently.
Three ways to build the right plan
Every person who works with me comes in at a different stage. These three paths make sure there’s a place for you, no matter where you’re starting from.
-
You’re a self-starter who wants the right tools and structure to work through things at your own pace. The Growth Blueprint Toolkit and standalone modules give you everything you need to build your communications foundation independently, and on your own schedule.
-
You want a thinking partner. Someone to sit down with, think it through together and help you see the path before you start moving. Start with the Communications Scorecard, then move into the Assessment or one of the Audits to get a clear picture of where the gaps are. Working Sessions and the Sessions Series are where we build the plan together.
-
You know what you need and you’re ready to build it. A Scoped Project gives you a defined deliverable, a clear timeline and a finish line. Whether that’s a plan, something built inside your platforms or documentation your team can actually follow, we scope it together and build it from start to finish.
What you can expect when we work together
You’ll feel understood before we start.
I dig in and ask questions most people don’t think to ask. I read what you’ve already created and find the value in it that you stopped seeing because you’re too close to it. Before we build anything, I make sure I understand your business, your voice and what’s actually getting in the way.
You’ll leave with something real.
Not a strategy that looks good on paper and never gets used. A real, working communications plan that fits your business, your voice and the way you actually work. Something you can pick up and move forward with the same day.
You’ll think about your communications differently.
You come to me feeling stuck or scattered. You leave with a completely different relationship with how you show up in your business. Not just a better communications plan, but a clearer sense of what you’re doing and why it’s working.
You’ll have someone in your corner.
Whether we work together for one hour or over several months, you’ll never feel like you’re figuring it out alone. That’s the difference between getting a deliverable and having a real thinking partner. And it’s the same kind of relationship I help you build with everyone in your business.
What it feels like to work together:
“Before Lindsay came on board, I was a bit like a blind squirrel—full of effort, but lacking direction. Now I feel more like a focused fox: sharp, intentional and finally seeing results.”
— Malynnda Stewart“These are exactly what I envisioned and they feel like my brand voice. I am truly blown away—there is literally nothing I would change.”
— Nancy Higgs “If you’re looking for someone who meets you where you are and delivers results with genuine care, Lindsay is the partner you need.”
— Amy Calder
Hi, I’m Lindsay Mayer.
I built Cameron Communications around something I kept seeing in the entrepreneurs I met: people doing meaningful work who still couldn’t get their communications to feel clear, consistent or theirs. Not because they weren’t capable. Because they didn’t have anyone in their corner who truly understood it.
After 20 years inside some of the most communication-intensive industries, I wanted to bring that experience somewhere it could actually make a difference. That’s why I started this. To give service-based entrepreneurs access to a real thinking partner who slows down, asks the right questions and helps you build a communications plan that fits your business, your voice and the relationships you’re working to build.
We build trust before we build plans here. And that changes everything.
